Christ the King-PTO

Attending: Monsignor McDermott, Angela Pohlen, Jon Hughes, Tracey Whitney, Sage Bernardini (Vice President), Erin Dye (Secretary), and Wayne Braun (Treasurer)

I. Opening Prayer

Monsignor McDermott started the meeting with Opening Prayer at 5:30 p.m.

II. Approval of October 11, 2017 Meeting Minutes

Wayne Braun moved, seconded by Sage Bernardini, to approve meeting minutes of

October 11, 2017. Motion passed unanimously.

III. Treasurer’s Report

Note’s below for Genevieve and Golf Tournament.

IV. Public Comment

None.

V. Business

a. Hoedown – Erin provided an update. Event was a success; over 200 attended. Erin will provide a checklist of items for event.

b. Genevieve’s - Erin provided an update from Kathryn Marsella regarding Genevieve sales. Current estimate is $16,000 in sales; approximately $8,000 profit. We are still waiting for final invoice. This seems to be a slight increase from last year. Delivery of order is scheduled for Monday, November 20. Students can pick up orders on Tuesday, November 21.

c. Golf Tournament – Katie Nunn provided an update on the event. The event was a success; no final numbers yet. Golf Tournament committee was having a final meeting to wrap up the event. CKS received invoice from Country Club of VT. Profit is approximately $11,000. Recommendations – replace dinner with appetizers, no change in entry fees for event, replace LIVE auction with SILENT auction. Maximum 24-25 teams. Tournament takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete. Kate will provide a checklist of items for the event.

d. Cash Calendar – Kickoff event at CKS drama production – Shrek on November 10 & 11. Tracey Whitney volunteered to run Cash Calendar table at Shrek both nights of the play. Monsignor agreed to PTO selling Cash Calendars after mass on the weekend of December 2 and 3. Wayne Braun to set up volunteer spot for mass times (St. Anthony 4:15; Christ the King 9:00, 11:00, 5:15). Cash Calendars can also be placed in the bulletin (200 only).

Barnes & Noble - Barnes & Noble is December 16. Volunteer needed to set up volunteer spot and get out announcement for volunteers. Barnes & Noble event to include:

• Information table (shifts of 2)

• Gift wrapping table (shifts of 2)

• Volunteers walk around with bookmarks (cannot hand out bookmarks; Ask ME!)

• Cardinal walks around (costume needs repair)

• Champ will be there (Justin Kelley)

• Student play musical instruments

• Barnes & Noble would let students (10ish) carol throughout the store (would be the songs they will be performing at CKS Christmas Concert)

• Story Reading

Miscellaneous notes –

Confirmed that there is no tree sale, bake sale, mini extravaganza at all this year. Need to notify Parish and school communities.
